Planning a Special Event? PDF Print E-mail

If you are planning a special event at your home, business or one of the city parks, you must contact the Development Services Department at city hall at least four weeks prior to your event.

Whether it’s a birthday party for your toddler at Waterfront Park, or a family reunion at your residence that requires additional off-street parking or a grand opening at your place of business, you must apply for a Special Event Permit.  The form can be found by scrolling on the left side of the home page to “How Do I” apply for a permit, click and a window will open listing all the different permits the Building Department offers.  Number one is the form you need to print out and complete and bring to the Building Department.  Once the application has been approved by all the required departments, you will be contacted and you can pay the $25.00 fee and pick up your Special Event Permit.

Information regarding your event will be routed to the Police Department so they can provide additional patrols and to the Public Works Department if they need to do extra trash removal at a city park.
