  • City Projects

The City is always attempting to improve through various projects. Some of these projects fall under the Community Redevelopment heading as they are determined by the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and financed from from CRA funds.

The City's commitment to dredging her approximately 30 residential and commercial canals and channels has been evolving for over 10 years and is deserving of a category of its own. This is a massively complex and costly project that will provide numerous benefits to all of Port Richey's citizens through increased property values, bringing more residents to the city, generating the need for businesses to service those residents, and of course the visitors who will be drawn to a vibrant commercial waterfont district that can only be made possible through more navigable waterways and the resulting increase in commercial waterfront attractions.

Port Richey's six parks are also in continuous need of improvement. Projects involving the improvement and maintenence of our parks are always taking place and are funded through various means, very often including grant funds supplied by the State or Federal governments.

Port Richey's water utility is another area where continuing improvements can be seen. The replacement of aging infrastructure and other utility related projects are an important component of insuring our capability to provide reliable service well into the future.

Lastly, we have a general category of projects that don't precisely fit any other category.
