Adopt A Road or Tree

In many communities, programs are implemented to promote volunteer efforts that assist the community and allow local government to provide for environmental and ecological sustainability.  The benefits of these programs are roadway beautification, increased shade canopy in the City and sustainability of our "Urban Forest."  Our Adopt-a-Tree Program allows for any resident to have a tree planted by the city adjacent to their property on or near the public right-of-way.  By "Adopting" the tree, the resident would agree to care for the tree by the recommended watering schedule as stated in the form available belowThe Adopt-a-Road Program would involve a community volunteer group that would agree to provide quarterly trash and litter clean-up along a specific roadway corridor.  Safety vests and trash bags for litter pick-up will be provided.  The city will post "Adopt-a-Road" signage.
